How to Make a Treefrog House - A free “How To” IFAS fact sheet that describes a simple, inexpensive project. The fact sheet provides a materials list and step by step instructions.

Wetlands Reading List – US Environmental Protection Agency put together a list of wetland-related books, by age group and with detailed descriptions.

Classroom Conservation Challenge – (SC.K.N.1.3, SC.1.N.1.3, SC.3.N.1.3, SC.4.L.17.4, SC.7.E.66, SC.7.N.1.2)  guides teachers and students to pledge to conserve water and develop a plan for a conservation activity.

CPALMS - (All standards!) An online toolbox of information, vetted resources, and interactive tools that helps educators effectively implement teaching standards. It is the State of Florida’s official source for standards information and course descriptions.

Plant and Animal Life Cycle Drawings - Targeted for grades 4 - 12 (LACC.K12.W.2.6, LACC.K12.W.4.10, SC.3.L.17.1, SC.4.N.1.3,  SC.4.N.1.6, SC.5.N.1.2, SC.6.N.1.3, SC.7.N.1.3, SC.912.N.1.6)  Students use SOS phenology observation protocols and data sheets to monitor plants or animals on their school grounds or in a local park. They use their recorded data to develop a timeline of species’ phenophases.  Students learn field observation and data collection skills. They learn to look for patterns and relationships in and among species.  They are encouraged to hypothesize and infer meaning from their observations and they have the opportunity to share what they learn by giving presentations at school.
