Is there anything better than a child with dirty fingernails? I am working at my desk and watching my daughter playing outside. She is having a great time digging in the dirt and making homes for “worms and mammals” out of leaves. Sometimes her trips outside require a major spraying with a hose but I am grateful that her cautious-self has no problem wallowin’ in the sand and mud!
As it does with my fingernails, that dirt will wash away with time…but her memories will stay for much, much longer.
Skyla just told me that she likes to play in the dirt and also likes to
get sprayed off with the hose.
I loved watching her as she is very creative and focused when she constructs a habitat - and talks non-stop about what she is doing.
